New York Construction Alliance Compiles List of Essential Resources for Review of COVID-19 Guidelines
Published on: December 12, 2020
NEW YORK, NY – New York Construction Alliance, the city’s premiere advocacy group for private construction firms, is encouraging companies within the metropolitan construction industry to review guidelines for mitigating the spread of COVID-19 on jobsites. To facilitate this, the nonprofit has consolidated a list of resources from CDC, CISC, EPA, and OSHA.
The list is available as an article on New York Construction Alliance’s (NYCA) website. Companies will find insight on everything from guidance on proper use of masks to protocol for disinfecting work spaces. One such resource is the Construction Industry Safety Coalition’s (CISC) customizable “COVID-19 Exposure Prevention, Preparedness, and Response Plan” for construction companies. This plan has been updated as of October 29 and should be reviewed by companies that have not done so already.
“Adherence to COVID-19 guidelines is not just a social responsibility. It’s also good business,” the article reminds construction firms. “Keeping your workplaces and jobsites safe and your teams healthy allows projects to continue smoothly and to be completed on time.”
