New York Construction Alliance Encourages all Construction Industry Professionals to Observe Safety Week
Published on: April 23, 2021
NEW YORK, NY – May 3rd through 7th is National Construction Safety Week. New York Construction Alliance strongly encourages all contractors and industry professionals to take this opportunity to review safety procedures and learn more about compliance. Knowledge, training, and presence of mind reduce the number of accidents and ensure a safe work environment for everyone. NYCA members have access to a wealth of training through the alliance’s Safety Committee, which maintains its own set of safety standards in addition to adhering to those set forth by the Department of Buildings and OSHA.
Safety is one of NYCA’s core values, and the organization works tirelessly to see that members meet and exceed existing safety regulations. Taking safety precautions one step further contributes to a work environment free from hazard and injury. Additional information on NYCA’s commitment to safe work sites, as well as the alliance’s required safety regulations, is available through the organization’s website.
An excellent resource for furthering knowledge of safety procedures and compliance is the Department of Buildings’ Build Safe, Live Safe digital conference, scheduled for May 3 though 7, in observance of Safety Week. The conference will feature DOB experts discussing important industry topics related to safety and sustainability. Registration for the event is still open and NYCA encourages your organization to attend. Registration can be completed by visiting the “News & Events” section of the DOB’s website. Register here.
